when I teach conversational English, i normally generate the conversation from a short text, where I also generate vocabulary. Through the question and answer in unlocking vocabulary difficulty can conversations also happen. Another piece of advice is to associate the chosen text to the students’ cultural or personal knowledge! This ensures maximum participation which is what we truly aim for!
